On April 10-11, 2025, the 39th Annual Conference on the Theory and Practice of Steel Production and Processing – OCELÁŘI 2025 was held at the Hotel Energetic in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm.
This year’s conference brought together 67 experts from approximately 45 companies and universities from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. The international character of the event was further emphasized by the participation of representatives from Austria, Italy, and Germany.
The opening session was launched by Ing. Jaroslav Pindor, Ph.D., who presented on “New Technologies for Reducing CO₂ Emissions.”
He was followed by Ing. Jiří Cupek, Ph.D., who introduced the transformation project of Třinecké železárny, aimed at developing an environmentally sustainable steel production process.
The second day of the conference began with a presentation by Mgr. Ing. Marcela Kubalová from the Steel Union, titled “Action Plan for Steel and Metals.” Her talk provided insights into the current situation of the steel industry in Europe and around the world.
After these inspiring keynote presentations, participants had the opportunity to attend 14 additional technical lectures, covering a wide range of topics related to metallurgy and steel production technologies.
A traditional part of the conference was the social evening at the stylish Kordulka chalet, where participants could exchange professional experiences and build new business connections in a friendly atmosphere.
